We have a couple of new instructors!!!! Just for your sewing enjoyment!!! One you know and one is new to us…and there is a third one who will be arriving in 2010!!!!

Let’s start with our Francy Gordon, teaching the “Francy’s Floating Stars”. Francy has taken a meeting with all the bears in the shop. George called their meeting to order since he is her CEO. George presented his idea to the bears and it was a unanimous vote----    FRANCY IS GOING TO START TEACHING QUILTING CLASSES!!!!  Check the schedule for her class and be sure to sign up early so you can beat the bears. You never know how many of them have been calling to reserve their seats!!!

Meet Janet Morton!

Janet is our newest addition to teachers! She began to quilt in the late 1970’s in New England and found it a relaxing hobby. She made quilted items as gifts mostly for baby showers and family members. After taking a break from quilting while living in Florida, working as an accountant, and raising her daughter who does not share her love of quilt making – but does enjoy quilts, Janet returned 5-years ago finding a whole new world of new tools, fabrics, patterns, and kits! She discovered that quilting goes along perfectly with her accounting background and she can satisfy her need to be precise, detailed, and artistic all at the same time. Quilting is definitely a passion which Janet has never lost and is enjoying more than ever! WELOME, JANET!!!!

In 2010 we’ll have Lynn Wood schedule some paper-piecing classes…more in the next newsletter…and you’ll meet Lynn officially in 2010!!

CHRISTMAS ROUNDABOUT!!!!! This Christmas Mystery class is in its 8th year!!!! Each year we have a quilt designed just for CQB and it’s a mystery and we have a ball!!! This year Pam Evans designed a beauty!!!! Make sure you have signed up and have your spot reserved. See the particulars in the schedule!

OUR CLASS SCHEDULE

Registration Information:

Remember to register early for class as class size is limited. Payment in full is required in advance. Class fees are non-refundable 48 hours prior to the class. We know many reasons pop up that could cause you to run a bit late, but if you find you will be more than 10 minutes late for class we ask that you please take a minute to give the shop a call to let us know.

10% off class supplies purchased at CQB. All class fees listed do not include the cost of your supplies for that class.

Please be sure that your sewing machine is in good order and that you’re comfortable with it. if your machine has been on a shelf for a while, don’t forget to dust it off and have it serviced before class.  Nothing is more frustrating that to sit down to a machine that doesn’t want to cooperate! You will enjoy yourself much more if you take care of this ahead of time! thanks!
